Tales and Tea Events

The Storytellers of The Round Table

return for their 5th Season.

Tales and Tea events are $35 per person includes all your food, tea, tax, gratuity and entertainment.  You may purchase your reservation on the links below or call and purchase your reservation over the phone.  Reservations must be paid for in advance of the event.

Doors open at 6 p.m. High Tea is served from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Storytelling begins at 7 p.m. The event is over at 8 p.m.

We will have a raffle for a free Tea Pot at the end of the event.

Menus will be listed for each event below.  We can accommodate Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free High Tea however you must call and give us your special dietary needs at least 48 hours before the event.  We will inform you at that time if there will be any additional fee.  Champagne, Wine, and Beer will also be available for an additional menu price the night of the event.

 Tea Events are by reservation only.  Cancellations will not be accepted less than 24 hours before the event.


Meet our Storytellers of the Round Table 

Mary Lou Williams is a retired teacher. She holds a masters degree in education from Columbia University.  She has served on the board of the Florida Storytelling Association and has produced local storytelling workshops and concerts featuring national tellers.  She is also a member of Toastmasters and has achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster award.  She has written a book of her stories called Ten Fractured Fairy Tales.
Tashahara Jallad joined Toastmasters in 2008.  After achieving the level of Distinguished Toastmaster, she began exploring storytelling.  She joined The Florida Storytelling Association and founded the Storytellers of the Round Table.  Tashahara adapts and weaves universal messages that touch the heart, challenge the mind, and lift the spirit.  With a belief that a story is the shortest distance between two hearts, she will inspire you to pass them along.
Rhonda Brazinahas co-authored a children’s book, Carrots for Charlie. She also found her dream job as a professional storyteller.  Combining her career as an educator, her love for acting and the theater, and her passion for stories, she is grateful to have found her niche with the Storytellers of the Round Table. Rhonda is a member of Toastmasters and earned the Distinguished Toastmaster award, the highest award that Toastmasters bestows. She delights in connecting with her audience.

Joel Ying, MD, is a physician practicing traditional & alternative medicine. As a Distinguished Toastmaster, he discovered a passion for storytelling as a performance art and a healing art. He attends storytelling festivals, produces local events, and performs eclectic world folk tales and personal stories. His style is unique, unexpected, and powerful.

“Balderdash and Gobbley Goop”  Humorous stories we all need more of today.


Scone:  Black and Blue Scone (Blackberry and Blueberry)

Savories:  English Egg Salad Flip Flop tea sandwich, Crabby Chicken Salad Sandwich, Mixed veggie and cream cheese toast and Roast Beef and Cheddar on Pumpernickel.

Dessert:   Jam Rolly Polly Cake, Wacky Chocolate Mendants and Fruit

Tea: Blue Lady, Blueberry Bliss Herbal Decaf and Brambles Blend

“My Mother Done Told Me”    Can you relate to some of those great tales about Mom.


Scone:  Hummingbird Scone (Pineapple, Banana and Walnut)

Savories:  Coronation Chicken Salad tea sandwich, Ricotta and Orange Crostini, Ham, Brie and Green Apple Croissant,  and Smoked Salmon and Asparagus tea sandwich.

Dessert:   Victoria Sponge, Dark Chocolate Fudge Love Truffle and Fruit

Tea:  Peach Brandy, Tropical Rainforrest Green and English Breakfas
